FILING DEADLINE UPDATE The filing deadline for 2019 tax returns HAS NOW BEEN EXTENDED TO JULY 15, 2020. (We are still going to be here working like a regular tax season to try and get as much done as possible by 4/15, unless of course we are told to vacate) The 2019 Federal tax return payment deadline has been extended to July 15, 2020. Indiana HAS confirmed they will follow the extended federal filing dates and extended payment dates. If you do owe on your 2019 return and actually file the return with the intention of paying your taxes in July you may get a system generated “tax due” letter from the IRS, which of course you should be able to ignore if it relates directly to these payments. We are just not sure how mechanically the IRS will handle this situation. This relief also includes estimated tax payments for tax year 2020 that are due on April 15, 2020. Which means the second 2020 estimate payment is still due 6/15/20 and the first estimate payment is due 7/15/20. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO TAXPAYERS FOR THEIR FIRST $1 MILLION OF TAX DUE.
